IN OFFICE GENERAL ANESTHESIA
At Capital Pediatric Dentistry, we offer general anesthesia administered by an M.D. Anesthesiologist. Patients have the option of having safe, hospital quality anesthesia in the dental office.
Each of our Anesthesiologists is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology & duel licensed by both the Medical Board of California and the Dental Board of California.
Capital Pediatric Dentistry has undergone and passed strict review & inspection of our facilities, equipment, policies and procedures comparable to those required for outpatient surgery centers. We follow and exceed the criteria mandated by the Dental Board of California for safe performance of general anesthesia in the dental office.
Our office is equipped with the same state-of-the-art medical equipment found in a surgery center or hospital operating room. This equipment includes an ECG (heart monitor), pulse oximetry (blood oxygen monitor), blood pressure and CO2 monitoring as well as resuscitative medications and equipment. In fact, our office has been specifically built to accommodate the use of all of this anesthesia equipment including a separate recovery room for post-operative care.
